How to act out Accents
A voice deck: the actor talks in an accent from a country, a city or a recognisable character type, and the team works out where it comes from. It suits older children and adults who enjoy a silly performance at a party.
- Ages 10+
- 3-10 players
- 90-second rounds
- Talk about something ordinary, like ordering lunch or giving directions, so the accent itself carries the clue.
- Never say the place name or famous local words that give it away; let the rhythm and vowels do the work.
- For character types rather than places, back the voice up with a matching posture, walk and hand gestures.
